Color and new tools

I loved this orange color the past few nails! So I decided to mix it in new ways. Also I finally bought some dotting tools and used them for this nail. Fun fact this orange glows in the dark. This was discovered while we were put putting indoors at our local glow in the dark put put!

Neon owls

I've become obsessed with neon! So a while ago my manager told me I could get more neon on my solidly painted orange nails. I came up with this.... Cute little designs and owls!

Minnie Mouse

I finally put some "fake" nails on sadly they only lasted a few days and were the last of the set. Anywho I did these adorable twist on a French mani for these sweet nails! They were really easy to do and I got a lot of complements on them!

Luv Birds

Saw these cute nails on one of my favorite you tube channels called Cute Polish. Thought they were adorable but I wanted to do a small edit to the color scheme using blue instead of white. I did the whole design using a small art brush. Here is a pic!

Spring Hearts

I tried a new technique today on my nails. I painted a base coat of my newest color it is by Revlon color bonsai. Its a beautiful pearl green color.
Then I painted a thick coat of the green with three dots of white on top the middle dot the largest. Then with a needle I pulled from just above the dot all the way to the base of my nail.

Pink/Red Gradient

Today I did a simple gradient. Using three colors I did a base coat in red, then I sponged on the next two  colors.  First in a pink on 3/4 of the nail. Then I sponged the tip in yellow.

Sorry I did not clean them up yet! Have a magical day!

Interview Nails

I have an interview today so I had to tone down my nails. Lol. I did this beautiful purple color on all of my nails. Then on my ring finger I painted a cute little silver bow. Super easy to do and still very adorable!

Marbling Nails

Hello Gurus!
Tried to do water marbling last night and it worked...I just don't like the color combination. It didn't seem quite right to me. Anyway marbling is easy to do its just time consuming.
The first step is to use room temperature water. Some folks will tell you to prep your nails by taping the skin or using petroleum jelly to help with the clean up but I just use nail polish remover the others get in the way for me.
Use a base coat often times white will work the best. In this I used my orange as a base. The choose two or three colors any more and it will be to busy a pattern. Put one drop in the water of your first color and let it spread. Follow with the second and third inside of each other so you get a bullseye effect. Then with a pointed object like a tooth pick or hairpin pull the center color out to create a pattern.
Dip your finger in with the nail facing the part of the pattern you like. The take your pointed object and swirl it on the top of the water to remove the excess. Repeat!
Mine are a little messy because i didn't finish cleaning them up.
Have a magical day!

Tribal Nails

Hello Gurus!
I have seen these nails popping up all over the web and I could not wait to try them! They do take some patience but they are very simple to do. It's all about geometric shapes and colors. First you need to pick three colors for the design and one base color. I have on Bare Bones by Revlon for my base. I wanted a more earthy look but I've seen them done in neon as well. For my colors I have OPI's Mermaid's Tears, Rimmel's Sunset Orange and NYC's Lexington Yellow. I also use the Sally Hanson nail art pen in black but you could to it with a toothpick as well.
What to use
Paint a base coat like you would normally with two
coats. Then in any pattern you decide on paint the
three colors in stripes on the nail. Each nail should look
different. Make sure the stripes vary in width as well.
Use these patterns on the stripes in varying order using the black polish.Your looking to achieve a controlled chaos look. Diagonal stripes, dots, pyramid shapes, and lines. This is the look I ended up with! Finally let it dry for at least three minutes before you put on the top coat especially if you are using the art pen.

Step two stripes
Step three decals
